Our History

Brownwood Local 2863 was established in May of 1981. Edward Leroy Simpson (retired) was elected the first president of local 2863 along with Cisto Dominguez-Sec/Tres, and Henry Dillard- V/P.

Supported Charities

Each year we strive to donate not only monetarily, but our time and volunteer hours throughout the community to benefit numerous charities, groups and national organization.

Who We Are

Brownwood Professional Firefighters Association Local 2863 was established in 1981 and is the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for all the non-exempt employees of the Brownwood Fire Department.

Our Board of Directors

Our association represents a diverse group of skilled individuals, with nearly 100% membership among uninformed professional "career" firefighters at the Brownwood Fire Department.
